Week 0 : Introduction to the 1kB2B challenge

After finishing the #ShipTherapy challenge to get over my fear of shipping, I realized how powerful public challenges can be. After that experience, there was no way I was going to stop there.

So here I am, starting my second challenge and hoping to get similar success as the first one. This one is a bit more ambitious though. The goal is to reach a consistent and scaleable 1K in recurring revenue from a b2b product. One that I will be starting completely from scratch and blogging about all the way.

Rules of the challenge

  • B2B products only.

  • Products must be validated before shipping.

  • I'll be starting completely from scratch.

  • I'll be blogging once a week about my progress and learnings.

  • All products from this challenge must be paid from day 1.

  • All products must have a recurring revenue model.

And that's basically it.

As to why I'm doing this, I'd like to finally get into the b2b scene.

I'm hoping this challenge will force me out of my comfort zone of building stuff for makers and consumers into the scary world of b2b. I'm planning to play with cold-emails, paid advertising, and improve my validation skills.

Right now, I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to start with but just like with the first challenge, I'm sure I'll figure it out before the end of next week.
